Four Doorways into the House
The hospitality of the Noble House of Brattleby has, since 1086, been organised around four distinct kinds of welcome: the welcome of the land, the welcome of the table, the welcome of the chapel, and the welcome of the tea. Each is a tradition that has survived nine centuries of war, reformation, civil disturbance and architectural change. Each remains, in 2026, the spine of the four programmes set out below.
The Heritage Trail offers the welcome of the land — a self-guided exploration of the Lincolnshire ground from which the Barony rose, taking the visitor to Brattleby village, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and the Domesday transcript that records Brattleby's first appearance in the written record. The Club Experience offers the welcome of the table — a London programme of etiquette, dining and cultural conversation conducted under the motto Elegantia in Veritate. The Winter Banquet offers the welcome of the chapel made grand — the annual white-tie charity gala at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, raising funds for causes named personally by the Baroness. The Noble Tea offers the welcome of the tea raised to ceremony — the inaugural Bucharest evening that links the Barony to its Romanian inheritance.
Each programme is open by personal invitation or by application, and each is curated personally by Lady Nicoleta Vasile. Bespoke commissions may be arranged for groups of six to twenty-four — corporate boards, family offices, cultural foundations and embassy delegations are particularly welcome.
The Heritage Trail

Explore the key locations connected to the Barony of Brattleby across Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. From the village of Brattleby itself, eight miles north of Lincoln, to Lincoln Castle where Nichola de la Haye — kinswoman of the third baroness — defended against rebel barons in the Battle of Lincoln Fair of 1217, and Lincoln Cathedral where Colswein of Lincoln, founder of the line, served as town-reeve under Edward the Confessor before the Norman Conquest. The trail concludes at the Domesday transcript displayed at the Castle, where Brattleby is recorded in the survey of 1086.

The Club Experience — London

The Noble House of Brattleby Club offers a programme of etiquette masterclasses, cultural soirées, and diplomatic receptions at prestigious London venues — principally the Royal Horseguards Hotel, the Savile Club, and the Caledonian Club. The Club is devoted to elegance, diplomacy, and personal refinement under the motto Elegantia in Veritate (Elegance in Truth). Membership is by personal invitation following nomination by two existing members and ratification by the Council.

The Charity Gala — The Winter Banquet

The Winter Banquet is a white-tie charity dinner and ball held annually at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, London, under the patronage of Lady Nicoleta Vasile, the Twelfth Baroness of Brattleby, and Honorary Lord Răzvan Vasile (by marriage). The 2025 edition, attended by 240 guests including representatives of three royal houses and seventeen ambassadors, raised £487,000 for the Healing the Wounded Child charity. The 2026 edition will support the Brattleby Heritage Trust's bursaries programme. Tickets are by invitation following nomination by an existing patron.

The Noble Tea — Bucharest
One evening · Annual
The Noble Tea is the inaugural annual ceremony of The Noble House of Brattleby Club at the Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard in Bucharest. Eighty invitation-only guests, including representatives of the Romanian Royal House, members of the diplomatic corps, and the international press, gather for an English Tea Ceremony presented in the full court tradition with Brattleby pastries baked from traditional English recipes. The ceremony marks the historic link between the Barony and Romania, of which Lady Nicoleta is a daughter.

All four itineraries are over-subscribed. The Winter Banquet's invitation list closes on 30 September each year; Noble Tea closes 1 October; Club Experience and Heritage Trail openings are released quarterly.
Bespoke Group Bookings
Private commissions for groups of six to twenty-four — corporate boards, cultural foundations, embassy delegations — may be arranged in any combination of the four programmes by the Estate Office.
International Concierge
Visitors travelling from beyond the United Kingdom may engage the Estate Office's concierge for hotel introductions in London, Lincoln and Bucharest, transfers, and cultural-programme curation.
