A Place of Purpose
The Noble House of Brattleby — founded by Lady Nicoleta, Baroness of Brattleby, the Twelfth — is a growing organisation devoted to cultural leadership, heritage preservation, and the promotion of elegance and diplomacy in modern society. We work across the United Kingdom, Romania, and Monaco, and our charitable work extends across Europe and beyond.
We are a small organisation by design. Every colleague is known by name, every contribution is visible, and every member of staff is treated as a professional adult. We do not micromanage; we expect excellent work delivered with discretion. We believe that the texture of an institution is decided by the way its people treat one another in private, and we hold ourselves to that standard.
We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with experience in events management, public relations, digital content creation, heritage conservation, multilingual communications, and cultural programme development. We also welcome speculative applications from candidates whose experience does not map neatly onto a department but whose character and skills suggest an excellent fit.

Working environments include the London Club at Whitehall, the Corinthia in Bucharest, the Monte Carlo chapter, and remote roles.

Application
Write through the Contact page of this website, stating the role of interest, your earliest available start date, and your salary expectations, and attach a CV and covering letter by email to office@brattleby.com once your enquiry is acknowledged. Speculative applications are welcomed for departments above.

Acknowledgement & Screening
Every application receives a written acknowledgement within ten working days. Suitable candidates are invited to a first interview, conducted by the Department Head and a member of HR.

Interview Stages
Candidates typically attend two interviews. The first is conversational and assesses fit. The second is practical: a tabletop exercise, a written brief, or a service trial as appropriate to the role.

References & Offer
We take up two professional references and, for client-facing roles, a personal character reference. Offers are issued in writing, signed by the Private Secretary, and countersigned by the Baroness.

Onboarding
New colleagues spend their first week shadowing across departments, are presented at the next Club gathering, and receive the staff handbook, the Members' Code of Conduct, and a copy of the Brattleby Quarterly.
For the Next Generation
Internships, Apprenticeships & Bursaries
Heritage & Archive Internship
12 weeks (Summer)
For postgraduate students of history, heraldry, or archival studies. Cataloguing, transcription, and contribution to a published research output. Bursary attached.
Events Internship
Season-by-season
Hands-on experience across the run-up to The Winter Banquet, the Spring Ball, and the Noble Tea. Travel between London and Bucharest possible. Attendance at events as junior stewarding staff.
Communications Internship
Six months, full-time
Editorial work on The Brattleby Quarterly, social media content production, and support to the Press Office. Strong writing in English required; a second European language an advantage.
Apprenticeships
12–24 months
Apprenticeships are offered at NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality, Events, and Heritage Skills. Available to UK candidates aged 16–24. Joint with local further education colleges in Lincolnshire and London.
