1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of brattleby.com(the "Site") and any services, content, events, ticketing, membership, hospitality, education, retail, podcasts and digital experiences that may, from time to time, be offered by The Noble House of Brattleby (the "House", "we", "us", "our"). Not all services described on the Site are continuously available; specific availability, pricing and conditions are set out at the point of booking or purchase. By accessing the Site or any service you accept these Terms in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to register, transact or join the newsletter, and 18 years of age for The Door experience, the Winter Banquet, paid hospitality and any service involving alcohol.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including the heraldic crest, motto "Fortitudine et Honore", family portraits, photography, videography, written chronicles, ceremonial archives, ghost stories, podcast recordings, Living Portraits, audio narration, code and design — is the intellectual property of the House or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark and design law.

You may view, download and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other reproduction, publication, distribution, modification, creation of derivative works, or commercial exploitation requires prior written permission from the Private Office.

4. Tickets, events & memberships

• All bookings constitute a contract subject to availability and confirmation.
• Tickets are non-transferable without written consent and may not be resold above face value.
• The House reserves the right of admission and may refuse entry for breach of dress code, conduct, or these Terms.
• Cancellations & refunds are governed by the specific policy notified at the time of booking.
• Force majeure: events may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control; alternative dates or credits will be offered.

5. Conduct at House Occasions

While attending a House occasion you must:

• Comply with the directions of staff, stewards and security personnel;
• Respect the venue, its staff, its property and any works of art or ceremonial objects present;
• Not engage in unauthorised photography, filming or drone use (see Photography Policy);
• Not bring weapons, illegal substances or hazardous items;
• Behave with the courtesy due in a noble household.

6. User contributions

If you submit content (enquiries, testimonials, gallery submissions, podcast comments) you grant the House a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce and display that content for ceremonial, archival, editorial and promotional purposes. You warrant the content is yours, accurate, and does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Prohibited uses

• Scraping, mirroring, or systematic harvesting of content (including AI training);
• Reverse engineering, attacking, or stress-testing the Site or its infrastructure;
• Impersonating the House, the Family, or any official;
• Posting unlawful, defamatory, obscene or harassing material;
• Interfering with the privacy or safety of others.

8. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Site and all services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by English law, the House excludes liability for indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, and our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the House, its Family, officers, staff and contractors from any claim, loss, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct at a House occasion, or your misuse of the Site.

11. Privacy & cookies

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Noticeand our Cookie Policy, both of which form part of these Terms.

12. Modifications

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach in your country of residence.
